Tuesday 20.1.09



Things are going well so far this week, have tried really hard to stay within points, sometimes a bit of a challenge, and have done my new Walk Away the Pounds dvd on Sunday night and again last night. It is good because it is low impact, but still a good workout, especially for someone like me who hates exercise. I can't stand walking - you know what I mean, going for a walk just for the sake of it with no purpose and I find it terribly boring. Have had many gym memberships over the years, but after a few months, stop going as it all gets too hard. Have my treadmill, booorrriiiinnnggggg. Maybe when biggest loser starts up again, which will be soon, I might get on the treadmill while I watch it. Anyhow, today I have included photos of my kids, aren't they beautiful?

17.1.09

Well, I am very happy this morning. I have lost 1.2 kg this week, which is great. Just to know that all the effort is worth it. So, the plan is to keep on doing what I have been doing so far. I think I will add more exercise because looking over the past week, I only exercised a couple of times. Here's hoping for another great week.

Well, it's Monday again. Doesn't the weekend seem to fly past? Had a busy weekend, lots to do around the house and yard. Went slightly over with the points, but should be able to make it up through the week. Exercised on the wii fit on Saturday night, didn't exercise Sunday, but did yard work for around an hour so that would have to count for something. Feeling really good about things.

10/1/09 Day 1

Well, this morning I went to my first weight watchers meeting in several years. It was very busy, due to lots of new members etc etc. Fortunately for me I am a lifetime member, so the paperwork etc didn't take as long. I was given all the books and bit and pieces to read through, which i will do when I get some spare time. So this it is, I am off and racing.

Have been doing weight watchers online since New Year and over the past 2 weeks have lost 1 kilo. This is great, but still feel the meetings will be good. I can't get there every week, but will try for at least fortnightly meetings.

The online boards have been a great inspiration and I enjoy being a member of the 'Fallen Angels' and also the 'Lose 30kilos by Easter', groups. They have been a great source of inspiration and they really helped me to get back on the right track. I am really excited about reaching my first goal of a 5kg loss. Then I get to buy myself a pandora bracelet yay. Then the next 5kg, making a total of 10kg, I am buying an angel pandora charm in honour of my friends from the 'Fallen Angels' group. Can't wait for that one!

O.k. so this is me on Friday 9/1/09. I am off to weight watchers tomorrow - fingers crossed.

My Weightloss Journey

I have had a weight problem since my teenage years, around 14 from what I can recall. I have tried everything possible to lose weight and keep it off. You name it, I've done it, and even to the point of some very crazy ideas.

The only thing that has ever really worked is Weight Watchers. It is also easier to maintain. I achieved Lifetime Member in around 1995. I even became a leader for a short time before moving towns and then falling pregnant. I think the move to Brisbane and being pregnant at the time, made it difficult.

Everything was going along alright, my weight would go up a bit, so I would get it under control and get it back down again. It wasn't until September 2004, when I broke my right ankle and left foot and was 'laid' up for around 6 weeks, that things became out of control. It wasn't the being 'laid' up that was the problem because I couldn't get to the food, and was only eating what was being brought to me, I actually lost a bit. It was when I got the plaster off but still wasn't moving very well, that's when the easy cook meals and takeaway came in. The weight seemed to pile on over the last few years, and now in 2009 it needs to stop.



This time in 2009, I will lose weight and keep it off by returning to good old Weight Watchers. I have around 30 kilos to lose. I have joined online weight watchers, and am returning to my first meeting tomorrow 10/1/09.
